Maruti Suzuki has lined up the launch of a new premium MVP, “ENGAGE” on 5 July. This initiative would fall under Maruti Suzuki’s NEXA programme. Maruti will retail ENGAGE through the NEXA showrooms.

The Maruti Suzuki ENGAGE is created as a joint product with Toyota. It is also labelled as a sister product to the Innova Hycross.

ENGAGE’s interior is rumoured to resemble the Innova Hycross. Thus, it would continue to provide the luxury and comfort of the Hycross with more efficiency. The seating configuration and feature list are similar to the Hycross.

Since the ENGAGE bears a certain degree of similarity with the Hycross, the MVP would receive enhancements in various domains. It is supposed to feature a large grille, and a unique headlamp treatment and includes the Nexa lighting signature, which we have previously seen on the new Baleno and Grand Vitara.

The upcoming ENGAGE would be available in two engine options. This would include a standard petrol engine and a robust hybrid version.

In terms of its prices, the market is expecting ENGAGE to be launched at a higher price compared to Innova Hycross. ENGAGE is like a hybrid variant of the Innova Hycross. In this regard, it is to be speculated how Maruti would plan to supply ENGAGE keeping in consideration the current high demand for the Innova Hycross.

5 NEXA Model by Maruti

Maruti has introduced a special edition for all 5 NEXA models – The Grand Vitara, Ignis, Ciaz, XL6, and Baleno. Maruti brought the fresh Pearl Midnight Black Paint edition for these cars just like the Dark Editions of Tata cars and the Black Shadow iterations of BMW models.

The special edition can be had in the following trims of the models as mentioned below:

  • Ignis- Zeta and Alpha
  • Ciaz- All trims
  • XL6- Alpha and Alpha+
  • Grand Vitara- Zeta, Zeta+, Alpha and Alpha+

Yet the Baleno variations receiving the new paint haven’t been revealed however it’s expected to be its Zeta and Alpha.

Along with the black exterior company will customize many things like black alloy wheels, and “Dark” edition badges. The interior of Tata’s Dark edition cars is all black, with black upholstery and a “Dark” logo on the headrests. Nevertheless, each of these enhancements carries a price tag that might reach Rs 48,000.

In the upcoming days, Maruti is anticipated to introduce the black versions of the three NEXA vehicles. Over their regular equivalents, the cosmetic improvement will probably command a premium of about Rs 30,000.

Maruti increase the production

According to the PTI, Maruti Suzuki India is likely to increase its production capacity in its different plants all across India. Manesar plant is to see an increase of one lakh units because of enhanced demand in the market.

This decision was taken by Maruti before the Sonipat operation started, which is supposed to start by 2025. The increase in demand doesn’t only cause a production hike in Manesar but also in the Gurugram plant. If we talk about the current manufacturing status of its plants we will see that Maruti India produces 15 lakh units per annum from both of the plants.

Additionally, 7.5 lakh units are manufactured in Gujarat. The Haryana Kharkhoda plant that will start manufacturing in 2025 will produce 2.5 lakh units in the first phase. At present Gurugram plant manufactures models like Ertiga, XL6, Eeco and Alto, S-Presso, Celerio, Brezza, and Dzire from the Manesar facility. For increasing, production multifold company has planned to invest ₹11,000 crores in the first phase of the Sonipat facility.

best futuristic features in upcoming cars

India is going to witness a number of upcoming cars. From Hyundai to MG almost every other car company is waiting for next year to introduce their unique and classy features. This article would be dealing with the specs and features that car companies will bring to the Indian market.

Hyundai Creta Facelift

On the top of the list is Hyundai Creta which has already gathered enough attention to create curiosity among buyers. Experts have speculated that it is likely to come up with a 10.25-inch digital instrument that’s going to add a feature to Hyundai’s long list of features. This would be available with engines set of 115bhp, 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol, 115bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel, and a 140bhp, 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol. So just waiting for one year can make you have this awesome Hyundai car.

Mahindra XUV 400

Mahindra is no doubt the best and to the list of best one more has been added by the launch of the Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV. It will be available for buyers on sale in January 2023 according to the news by Mahindra. It has a wheelbase of 2600mm. This is the widest e-SUV in this category and has got a lot more than the previous XUV300. So get ready to park an electric SUV in your home space that will be available in a few months.

Toyota Innova Hycross

Toyota will soon be launching Innova Hybrid in the Indian market. It will be launched in the global market by next month but India will get to see it next year. It’s going to be a Hybrid Innova car. It will measure 4.7 meters in length and sit on a 2890mm long wheelbase. It will come with  2.0L petrol and 2.0L petrol with strong hybrid tech.

Maruti YTB SUV Coupe

Maruti YTB SUV Coupe is among those cars which have been spotted on road multiple times but experts knew it will bring more than its leaks. And finally, the wait is over for buyers and we have got what’s exactly under the hood. Maruti Suzuki will bring a 1-liter turbo petrol engine on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross. It would be wrong to say it is totally new because we saw the same thing in the Baleno RS model in the year 2017. Despite having almost the same thing, it could not be continued because of low sales in the market.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Recently, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara car was unveiled on the market. Auto enthusiasts in India are excited about having the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara available in two prominent versions, namely, the mild hybrid version and the strong hybrid version. There are various differences between the two versions. This will help buyers determine which version they should buy in the near future. Let’s have a look.

Mileage

A major highlight of the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is the industry-best mileage of the car. It promises a mileage of 27.97 kmpl only for its strong hybrid SUVs. However, this feature is not available in mild hybrid SUVs. The mild hybrid versions will offer mileage depending on their own gearbox and its capacity to operate.

Design and Features

Although there isn’t much of a difference in the design of both versions, strong hybrid variants get champagne gold inserts whereas the mild hybrid versions get aluminum inserts. The strong hybrid version also has certain additional features such as a Digital instrument panel, head-up display (HUD), wireless charging, and puddle lamps. These are not available in the mild hybrid versions of the SUV.

Boot Space

In the strong hybrid versions of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV, the brand has used a separator to enhance the boot space available. In the mild hybrid versions, there is a regular boot with a spare wheel. Additionally, in the strong hybrid versions of the SUV, there is a lithium-ion battery pack installed in the boot of the vehicle. The spare wheel is placed below the boot in the strong hybrid versions of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV.
