Levitating Cybertruck

Tesla has released a 1:24 scale model of the Cybertruck that levitates above its base, priced at $250. The model features silver-coated detailing, functional headlights, and taillights, and is designed to either stay motionless or rotate with a gentle tap.

While the levitating feature may appeal to Tesla enthusiasts or collectors, it is primarily a novelty item rather than a functional product. The floating effect is powered by magnets, and while it offers an interesting way to display the model, it doesn’t add much beyond visual appeal.

Key Features:

  • Cybertruck Dimensions: 8.98” L x 3.28” W x 2.36” H (22.8 x 8.3 x 6.0 cm)
  • Base Dimensions: 6.14” L x 6.14” W x 1.28” H (15.6 cm L x 15.6 cm W x 3.25 cm H)
  • Cybertruck Weight: 0.65 lbs (293 g)
  • Base Weight: 2.85 lbs (1291 g)
  • LEDs: 14 functional LEDs for headlights and taillights

How It Works:

  1. Plug in and power on the levitation base, ensuring it’s placed on a flat, non-metallic surface.
  2. Hold the Cybertruck directly above the base with two hands.
  3. Slowly lower the model until it clicks into place, supported by the magnet.
  4. Once balanced, release your hands to let the model float.

While the Levitating Cybertruck may be a fun display item for Tesla fans, at $250, it’s a pricey addition for those just looking for a functional model. Additionally, the product is currently out of stock, so potential buyers will need to check Tesla’s website for availability. You can find the product page here.

Indian Union Minister Piyush Goyal recently visited Tesla’s state of the art manufacturing facility at Fremont, California. He shared his experience that he felt extremely delighted to see “talented Indian engineers & finance professionals working at Senior positions and contributing to Tesla’s remarkable journey to transform mobility”.

He also wrote that he felt proud of the “growing importance of Auto component suppliers from India in the Tesla EV chain”. As per the Union Minister’s X post, Tesla is on its way to double the components imports from India.

During his visit, Musk could not be there and wrote in comments “My apologies for not being able to travel to California today, but I look forward to meeting at the future date”.

The visit becomes more important when India is considering a request from Tesla to lower tariffs for imported electric vehicles. This was recently reported by the Financial Times in a report. As per the report, officials said, “Their view has always been that they need some tariff concessions at least in the interim period,”. It further mentioned that Tesla has asked this as a precondition to building a plant in India.

We recently informed you that Tesla, the giant electric vehicle manufacturing brand is drawing plans to set up a factory in India to produce a new $24,000 car. The particular vehicle is meant for the Indian market, which would amount to almost about 20 lakh rupees. A report by Reuters now states that a meeting with India’s commerce minister, Piyush Goyal, would be soon carried out by Tesla representatives regarding the same.

Last year, Tesla tried to reduce import taxes applicable on EVs shipped to India. However, the Indian Government rather suggested the company manufacture cars locally for the nation.

Prior to the present developments, in the month of June, Elon Musk met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his interest in investing in India. Talks about Tesla setting up a factory with an annual EV production capacity of 5,00,000 units were also carried out. You can check our earlier report regarding the same here.

The upcoming meeting between Tesla and the Indian commerce minister is a meeting of the highest degree and is supposed to see discussions regarding an EV supply chain and land allotment for the factory.

Tesla’s entry into the Indian market and to manufacture EVs locally has seen rows of discussions since 2022. From facing restrictions by the Indian Government to Musk deciding not to set up a manufacturing unit in India, we are now looking forward to a possible establishment to emerge out of everything.

The American EV manufacturer, Tesla plans to set up a new factory unit in India as per reports. The company is already in talks with the government of India and plans of setting up a factory that will produce a total of 5,00,000 units of EVs annually.

Here’s more about it.

Tesla to Setup up a New Factory Unit in India

Even if Tesla had plans of setting up a local manufacturing unit in India last year, the company initially wanted to import its EV models to the country to exactly determine the potential the company has within the country. However, with the huge import taxes which may go upto 100%, it was absolutely not possible to introduce the EVs to the Indian market as the high price may severely affect how Indian customers would approach the company’s vehicles.

After the meeting with officials regarding the subsidies that would be offered for electric car and battery manufacturing and also after the recent meeting between Elon Musk and Narendra Modi, the CEO of Tesla and Indian Prime Minister, Tesla has almost confirmed its plan to set up a new factory in India. Musk stated, “I am confident that Tesla will be in India and will do so as soon as humanly possible”.

The factory unit Tesla plans to set up in India will be huge as it would be capable of manufacturing 5,00,000 EVs a year. The EV models that will be manufactured in India would likely start at Rs. 20 lakhs and the plant will also be serving as an export base for the company. The company hopes to export the EVs manufactured in India to countries of the Indo-Pacific region.

Just to add, Musk after his meeting with Modi had also mentioned his likely plan to introduce the Starlink satellite internet service in India too.

Tesla is all set to make its official debut in Malaysia later this month. The official unveiling will take place in Kuala Lumpur on July 20, 2023, as per some local reports. A dedicated Instagram page has already been created by the name of teslamotorsmys but the Malaysian section of the official website is not active yet. Tesla was the first applicant under MITI’s BEV Global Leaders initiative by the Malaysian government that aims to boost BEV demand in the local Malaysian market.

“Tesla will establish a Head Office, Tesla Experience & Services Centers [sic], and Supercharger network, simultaneously creating skilled & better-paying jobs for M’sians,” tweeted Malaysia’s MITI Minister Tengku Datuk Seri

The company has not confirmed yet the models that it will bring to Malaysia for the launch but it’s expected to start with the Model Y and Model 3 as they did in Singapore and Thailand. Gigafactory Shanghai can be the manufacturer of Tesla EVs that will be sold in Malaysia. If we talk about the price of these models, Tesla sells two Model 3 variants: the RWD for RMB 231,900 and the Dual Motor AWD version for RMB 331,900. Tesla sells three Model Y variants: the RWD for RMB 263,900, the Long Range AWD for RMB 313,900, and the Performance variant for RMB 363,900.

Last month Tesla Malaysia recruited applicants for numerous job profiles like Sales and Advisor, Sales advisor/Inside sales advisor, Enterprise sales advisor, Delivery advisor, Customer support specialist, and service advisor.

Chinese Xpeng EV used Tesla's stolen autopilot

A video is surfacing on various social media platforms and YouTube in which the Chinese I3 series Xpeng EV car can be seen. The driver in the video is driving the car using Autonomous Driving mode. At the beginning of the video, the car is running smoothly but as soon as it comes closer to another vehicle it becomes hard for the driver to avoid a collision without manual control. The car itself tried to change lanes but the same proximity issue came and the driver had to take control.

According to some reports this car uses stolen autopilot technology from Tesla. Reports say that a former Tesla employee stole it and gave it to Xpeng. The company not only tried to incorporate it in its new EV in the best way but also introduced some additional features but the results were not convincing enough for the customers. When this car was first launched, the company invited journalists to the launch event for its test drive. Though the company claims so many things about this EV, the video is enough to show the reality.

Tesla Cybertruck

Team Tesla released a brief, eight-second film announcing their brand-new Cybertruck, which was described as being bulletproof. Will this car represent its upcoming major achievement? To learn more, keep reading.

The eight-second video, which has been viewed more than 15.5 million times in a short period of time on Twitter, attests to the car’s futuristic design.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, highlighted the Tesla Cybertruck’s potential to deflect bullets during its grand introduction. Musk was merely referring to the truck’s special armored glass, which utterly failed during the debut after being struck by a steel ball, but toughness was and is unquestionably a major component of the Cybertruck that to some extent is a win-win.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk made much of the Tesla Cybertruck’s potential to deflect bullets when it made its public debut. Musk was merely alluding to the truck’s distinctive armored glass, which failed spectacularly during its premiere after being struck by a steel ball, although toughness was and still is undoubtedly a crucial component of the Cybertruck, which is ultimately advantageous.

Tesla claims that the Cybertruck’s body is sturdy enough to survive the blow of a 9 mm handgun round, although it makes no reference to any armor rating certification. The Cybertruck’s body, constructed from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel is intended to offer both durability and protection. Hence this video sets out to see if similar metal panels can stop various calibers of bullets shot from different firearms.

Despite the outcome, a few things should be taken into consideration.

It is the car that, in recent years, has raised the most hopes and expectations among consumers, businesspeople, and anyone else interested in the auto industry. The introduction of this electric vehicle has stirred up a lot of controversies, both good and bad.

The Cybertruck, for example, deviates from the conventional pickup truck design by having an angular and geometric body that gives it a unique appearance.

Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO, is known for making risky decisions, and the Cybertruck is no exception.

The Cybertruck epitomizes a substantial break from tradition and has ignited debates about the future of electric vehicles and their place in our society.

Yet Cybertruck’s design is more than just a fashion statement. That is also quite practical. Why?

It is nearly bulletproof thanks to the strength and longevity of the stainless-steel exoskeleton. It is the ideal vehicle for moving valuable stuff because of the vault-like rear cargo space that can be covered with a detachable tonneau cover.

Not to mention the truck’s capable bed weight of 3,500 pounds and a remarkable towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds. Designing the Cybertruck takes into account functionality as well as aesthetics.

Therefore, what’s important is the fact that not every day is an innovation such as the Tesla Cybertruck carried out. Undeniably it is one of the biggest feats taken up by the company in the automobile industry.

The production of the vehicle is set to start in the summer of 2023 with deliveries carried out by the end of the year.
