Tesla has officially unveiled the refreshed Model Y, bringing several updates that enhance its performance, aesthetics, and overall driving experience. The redesigned vehicle boasts improvements both inside and out, focusing on aerodynamics, ride comfort, and technological advancements.

The new Model Y features a “redesigned exterior with improved aerodynamics to unlock better range, performance & longevity.” This updated design is complemented by “updated wheels, tires & brakes” along with a “retuned suspension for a smoother ride.” Tesla has also introduced a world-first feature in its “single, cross-car lamp,” described as “the first indirect reflective taillight of its kind in the world.”

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge - Feature Image

Samsung just announced its latest flagship S25 series, both in India and globally. While everyone had their eyes on whether Samsung would launch the S25 Slim at the Galaxy Unpacked January 2025 Event, no one imagined that there wouldn’t be a Slim model but rather an Edge model. Samsung showcased the S25 Edge, which essentially replaces the Slim model, during the event.

Those who saw the images floating all over the internet were quite surprised, as the design was nothing like what OnLeaks had shared in his leak. Even the name turned out to be different. But that’s not all, Samsung’s addition of the Edge variant to its S25 series introduces a design that differs from the rest of the smartphones in the lineup.

When I first saw the image of it, I felt like I had seen it somewhere before. And then it hit me, it looks strikingly similar to the Oppo K12x (China), AKA the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. If you look at the comparison below, the Galaxy S25 Edge is on the left, and the Nord CE 4 Lite is on the right. While the S25 Edge has a single flash, the Nord CE 4 Lite features a dual-flash setup. Both smartphones sport a rear dual-camera layout neatly placed in a pill-shaped deco.

The silver colour of the S25 Edge also seems reminiscent of the Nord CE 4 Lite. Although Samsung briefly showcased the device at the Unpacked event, not much detail was revealed. However, an earlier Geekbench listing revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset would power it. Interestingly, that listing showed the device’s underpowered multicore performance for some reason.
It’s worth noting that the “Edge” naming in the moniker is likely intended to highlight the smartphone’s slim design. Additionally, it marks the brand’s return to using “Edge” in its product names—the last being the 2016-released Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

As of now, Samsung has not revealed further details, such as the launch date or full specifications. But an earlier leak had revealed it may launch in May of this year. Additionally, WHYLAB shared some key specs of this smartphone: a 6.7″ straight display screen, a 3900 mAh battery backup, a 200MP (main) + 50MP (ultra-wide) dual-camera unit, and 6.4 mm thickness.

I know some may not like this comparison, So, who else agrees with me that it looks like the Nord CE 4 Lite?

Products are featured directly on the YouTube store tab, allowing viewers to easily access them for purchase. Merchants can track the performance of these tagged products using YouTube’s analytics tools, providing valuable insights into shopping behavior and product popularity. Product details such as descriptions, and images, are automatically synced between Wix and YouTube, ensuring a consistent, up-to-date shopping experience across platforms.

    LG Electronics yesterday unveiled a new air purifier- PuriCare AeroBooster in the Indian market and today the company has launched two new soundbars in the country that arrive with true wireless rear surround speakers.

    LG S95TR Soundbar

    Features

    It comes with 17 strategically placed speakers that offer 810W power output. Its 9.1.5 channel setup includes 5 up-firing speakers, upgraded tweeters, and passive radiators allowing deep bass down to 120z and high-frequency delivery. The soundbar is powered by Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technology while built-in WOWCAST connects your LG TV and LG soundbar and lets you experience surround sound without visible wires.

    Users can also control the soundbar and LG TV with one remote only like adjusting volume, and audio settings, checking connection status, and even selecting a sound mode on the screen.     Apple has received a notice from India’s Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) following complaints about performance issues with iPhones after the rollout of its iOS 18 software update. The notice was issued after the Department of Consumer Affairs received grievances on the National Consumer Helpline, according to Union Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi.

    “After receiving complaints on the National Consumer Helpline regarding performance issues in #iPhones following the iOS 18+ software update, the department, after examining these grievances, has issued a notice to #Apple through the CCPA, seeking a response on the matter,” Joshi said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

    Alleged Issues with iOS 18 Update

    The complaints come amid Apple’s expansion in one of its fastest-growing markets, where the company has been ramping up its retail presence and manufacturing operations. The performance concerns reportedly coincide with the introduction of a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature in iOS 18, which has faced scrutiny.

    The AI-driven feature, designed to provide personalised news and entertainment updates, was disabled in a beta update last week after users reported false or misleading alerts, a phenomenon known as “AI hallucinations.” Apple acknowledged the issue and has temporarily removed the feature in the beta version of iOS 18.3. Apple is reportedly working on a fix, with the final release expected in the coming weeks.

    Apple’s iOS 18.2 update introduced several features under its “Apple Intelligence” initiative, including Image Playground, custom emoji creation, and ChatGPT integration into Siri. However, these additions have been outweighed by the technical problems that have prompted government intervention.

    Broader Consumer Concerns

    In addition to the notice issued to Apple, the CCPA has also taken action against major cab aggregators Ola and Uber. These companies are under scrutiny for alleged differential pricing based on the type of mobile devices customers use.

    The investigation centres on reports that Ola and Uber may charge different fares for the same ride based on whether customers are using iPhones or Android devices. This practice, known as differential pricing, has raised concerns about fairness and transparency. While the exact mechanism for this pricing model remains unclear, it has prompted the CCPA to seek explanations from both companies.

    “As a follow-up to the earlier observation of apparent #DifferentialPricing based on the different models of mobiles (#iPhones/ #Android) being used, Department of Consumer Affairs through the CCPA, has issued notices to major cab aggregators #Ola and #Uber, seeking their responses,” Joshi stated in another post on X.

    The notices are part of a broader push by the Indian government to ensure consumer rights are protected in an increasingly tech-driven marketplace. Both Apple and the cab aggregators will be required to respond to the queries raised by the CCPA.

    Google launches its new ads feature to help local businesses

    Google had launched the Chat feature with Text and WhatsApp long ago, allowing business owners to add these options to their business profiles. Previously, this feature wasn’t available for business owners in the US market. However, it now appears to be rolling out in the US as well.

    Additionally, this feature is also available for users in India. I personally checked the business profile of one of our companies and found an option to add either WhatsApp or SMS for potential customers to initiate a chat.

    To access this feature, log into your business profile and click on Edit. Under the Contact section, you will see the Chat option. A dropdown menu will appear with two options: Text or WhatsApp. You will need to enter the phone number you wish to use for communication.

    Although business owners in the US can now see this option, earlier documentation from Google(via) still does not mention its availability in the US market.
